How to use the AI text summarizer
Paste or type the text you want to summarize into the box above — articles, reports, emails, transcripts, or research notes all work. Choose a mode (TL;DR, Key Points, or Headline) and a length (Short, Medium, or Long), then click Summarize.
The tool uses Chrome's built-in on-device AI to generate the summary, so your text is processed locally and never uploaded to a server. If your browser does not support built-in AI yet, you can configure an optional Cloudflare Worker endpoint in the AI Settings panel as a fallback.

Does my text get uploaded to a server?
No, by default. When Chrome's built-in AI is available, summarization runs entirely on your device and your text never leaves your browser. If you configure an optional Cloudflare Worker fallback, text is sent only to that endpoint you control.
What is the difference between TL;DR, Key Points, and Headline modes?

How long can the text I paste be?
You can paste articles, essays, reports, or transcripts of any reasonable length. Very long text may take a few extra seconds for the AI model to process.

This tool uses Chrome's built-in on-device AI (Gemini Nano) so summarization happens privately without sending your text anywhere. If your browser does not support it yet, you can alternatively configure a Cloudflare Worker AI endpoint as a fallback.
