How It Works (On-Device AI)
Our background remover uses machine learning segmentation models running directly inside your browser via WebAssembly and WebGPU. Your images are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to any remote server.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are my photos uploaded to a server for background removal?
No. The AI neural network model runs directly inside your web browser using WebGPU and WebAssembly. Your photos remain on your device at all times.
Is this AI Background Remover free?
Yes, 100% free with no limits, no credits, no watermarks, and no sign-up required.
Can I replace the background with a custom color or blur?
Yes. You can export as a transparent PNG, select any solid background color from the color palette, or apply a soft blur to the original background.
What types of photos work best?
The AI model is trained on portraits, product photos, cars, animals, and graphics with clear separation between the subject and the background.
